HARARA is an architecture, design, and research studio that engages critically with questions of temporality, operating at the intersection of aesthetics, culture, and politics.
The name—meaning “heat” in Arabic—embodies an attitude, a provocation, and a subject of urgency. It speaks to the essential challenge of building in specific climatic conditions, particularly in regions where heat is not just environmental, but cultural and political.
In a century where modernity has radically transformed how we inhabit our cities, HARARA questions dominant paradigms and explores alternative ways of living, designing, and thinking about space. Through research-driven practice, the studio seeks to uncover layered narratives of place, to build with time rather than against it, and to reimagine architecture as a dynamic, situated, and responsive act.
